Tournament Updates at the Sovereign Poker Club in Farnborough

Waaaaait a minute... snooker, pool, American Pool, darts, a sports bar with Big Screen, quiz night a decent looking menu and juicy poker events all under one roof?

1. Where is Farnborough
2. How quickly can I sell my house and move there.
3. Does this place really exist or is it a cruel joke?

Seriously though I wish there was someone like this near me!

On the 27th of October they're holding a £100 NL Hold'em freezeout with 6000 starting chips and 30 minute levels.

Harbour Lights Poker Festival at the Rendezvous Casino in Brighton added

From the 8th to the 14th October the Rendezvous Casino is hosting their Harbour Lights Poker festival on the Brighton seafront (in a comfortable building don't worry). In total they're 6 NL Hold'em events, 5 freezeouts and 1 rebuy:

8th -£100 Freezeout
9th - £100 Rebuy
10th - £150 Freezeout
11th - £300 Freezeout (2 day event)
12th - £200 Freezeout
13th - £500 Freezeout (2 day event)

Brighton is an hour on the train from London, this could be a refreshing change from the sometimes insulting pub style microwave food you get in many London casinos - on the 11th there is a complementary "fruit platter" at the interval!

Rendezvous Casino in Brighton, new tournament added

The beginners tournament at 20:15 on Thursday is now Pot Limit instead of No Limit, perhaps to stop the noobs from doing their stash too quickly.

There is a new tournament added at the Rendezvous Poker Room on Saturday, a £20 rebuy at 8.15pm. They have a rebuy tournament every evening of the week.

The Mirage Poker Room: An Eclectic Offering

While checking for tournament updates at the Mirage in Las Vegas, I noticed they seem to have introduced Stud cash games. If they've always had them then it's certainly new to their site. What's impressive is the variety of poker available at the Mirage;
$1-4, $5-10 & higher

$70, $115 and $175 Sit and Go's are available as soon as a table fills up.

The End of an Era? TheGutshot Card Club

It would appear the famous Gutshot Poker Club in Clerkenwell is now called the "The Powerhouse Sporting Club" and is no longer posting a live tournament schedule. Speculation is for legal reasons they can't do this anymore. For the time being we're taking them off PokerSked, if anyone knows what's going on here please post.

FullTilt Poker Announce FTOPS 6 Schedule

Hot on the heels of the WCOOP on Stars, FullTilt have released the dates of the 6th FTOPS series starting from the 7th November 2007. They're a superb selection of poker tournaments, great structures and variety. One rather large criticism however is the serious Euro unfriendliness to the start times. If you have work the next day forget it!

Over half of the 15 events start at 9pm ET, that's 2am GMT and 3am CET. I'm assuming this is so that the players in Nevada and California can race him from work to enter at 6pm their time.

Click here for ALL Fult Tilt Schedules and here to check out the FTOPS 6 schedule on the FullTilt Poker site.

Reigate, Surrey: The Full House Tourney Schedule Updated

Maybe it's something in the water down in Reigate, because they're clearly a sick bunch at the Full House where there is now a new Saturday rebuy from 8.30pm where you can pretty much buy as many chips as you want. Rebuys start from £20 and go up to £60! Surely guaranteed to generate a sick prize pool - would love to hear from anyone that's played in this game. Sounds like great fun.

Also just announced is a £200 freezeout on the 24th November...

Birmingham, The Midlands: Broadway Casino Poker Schedule Updated

The Broadway Casino in Birmingham have updated their Poker Schedule for October. A £15 rebuy has been added on Wednesdays and Saturdays. If anyone has played here please let us know what it's like. Be interested to know what the play is like, the structure etc

Purley, Surrey: Big Slick Poker Club Tournament Schedule Updated

Tournament schedule for the Big Slick Poker Club in Purley, Surrey has been updated. I can imagine there is some pretty hairy action going on down there. On the 24th November at 7pm they're holding a £500 No Limit Hold'em Freezeout, there are 120 seats, making a potential prize pool of £60,000! Surely the biggest poker tournament ever to be held in the Croydon area!

Atlantic City: Borgata Poker Room Tournaments Added

The Borgata Poker Tournament Schedule has been added. If anyone has a review to add for the Borgata Poker Room it would be much appreciated.

There are some pretty hefty guaranteed tournaments, on wednesdays at 11am they have a $50 freezeout with a $10k guaranteed prize pool. We'd love to hear from anyone that has played in any of their regular tourneys. For those that don't know the Borgata is in Atlantic City.

PartyPoker Tournament Schedule

The main change to the Party Poker tournament schedule is the introduction of a "Super Stack" series of Turbo events at 15:30 ET (8.30pm UK time);

On Saturday they've introduced a $120 Omaha Hi DeepStack MTT, Sunday it's Omaha Hi Lo, and throughout the week this slot now hosts a $55 NL Holdem Deepstack Turbo. 5k starting chips with 10 minute blind levels.

The weekend tourneys sound fun, I'm definitely playing them!

Bodog Poker Tournament Schedule Updated

Bodogpoker have made a few changes to their tournament schedule, not great changes as the guaranteed prize values are dropping, which can only mean they are struggling to compete with fulltilt and stars. For instance the $30 midday superstack tournament has halved from $10k guaranteed prize pool to $5k! And this is just one of many. The other major changes it their URL has changed to bodoglife, here is the direct link to BodogLife Poker.

Absolute Poker Tournament Schedule Updated

The main news from AbsolutePoker is that the guaranteed prize pools on sunday have increased. There was much hullabaloo on pocketfives and 2+2 forums about seemingly irrepressible evidence that a few players could see player hole cards, I haven't seen a response from Absolute yet (apart from the fact they were investigating) but a decent percentage of the big money players viewing this somewhat alarming news may choose not to play in the big tourneys on sunday. Click here to view the full Absolute Poker tournament schedule on poker sked.

Other News

The Absolute Poker big weekly sunday game ($150 buy in) has gone up from $60k to $75k guaranteed prize pool.

The Absolute Dream Package is coming up this week; for $200 entry you have the chance to win $100,000 in big tournament buy ins!

You can now transfer funds for free between UltimateBet and Absolute.

ParadisePoker Schedule Updated

The Paradise Poker tournament schedule has been updated. Not much has changed really though rather worryingly their guaranteed prize pools appear to be shrinking rather than expanding! Smaller prize pools isn't good for the greedy among us, however I think there are some really good reasons to try their tourneys out and have a break from Stars and FullTilt;

1. Decreasing prize pools mean they must be struggling to fill tourneys up, check for overlay!
2. All the hot competition is on Stars and FullTilt, the competition is almost definitely softer.
3. Wow - play a tournament that doesn't last 12 hours! Smaller tournament sizes means shorter tournaments, that can't be a bad thing. PokerStars is so popular these days even Razz tournaments get more people than the average NL Holdem MTT on a lesser known poker network.

PokerStars Schedule Updated

The PokerStars tournament schedule has been updated on PokerSked, the most notable changes being yet another significant increase in guaranteed prize pools across many of the regular tournaments.

There is one qualifier left for the EPT in Baden tomorrow (the 3rd of Oct) and another $1050 qualifier to the EPT in Dublin on saturday, followed 2 hours later by a qualifier to the EPT PCA in the Carribean... It's alright for some!
